After graduating from Clarkston High School (Clarkston, MI) where he was a dual sport athlete in baseball & wrestling in 2000, Bret moved on to study and play baseball at Albion College (Albion, MI).  While at Albion, he was a 3 year varsity starter on a team that won an MIAA (Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) Championship in 2004, before graduating in May of that year with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Management.

A Bulls alumnus, Bret played under Frank Gallagher from 2002-2005 on 3 teams that began a streak of 5 consecutive Livonia Collegiate League Championships for Frank’s Bulls from 2002-2007.  Bret joined the Michigan Bulls staff in 2005 and has been a fixture at the Bullpen ever since.  Coaching numerous fall and winter league teams lead he and William Tollison to begin the Michigan Bulls summer youth travel program in 2007, with the first ever 10u Michigan Bulls team.  Together they lead the “young” bulls to a successful season and foreshadowed the emergence of the Michigan Bulls Travel baseball organization.

Bret will continue to work with many of the same players from that first ever 10u Bulls team as he head coaches the 10u Michigan Bulls this summer.
